Background
Starting as a fleet card provider in 1983 as Wright Express Corporation, WEX Inc. expanded to facilitate corporate payments across the fleet, travel and healthcare industries. Its name was changed to WEX Inc. in October 2012.
WEX Fleet provides vehicle fleet customers with fuel cards and data and telematics offerings for drivers. In 2012, WEX Fleet acquired Fleet One to provide fleet cards to drivers. WEX Fleet also partners with GasBuddy, OnDeck, and Chevron, among other companies, to provide services to customers. In 2017, WEX Fleet launched a new telematics platform, ClearView Advanced.
The Challenge
Wex was looking for a strategic partner that had a world class infrastructure, people and processes capable of managing a mission critical environment. Typical daily transaction volumes are in excess of 1 million per day. These transactions include both loyalty and payment types for the world’s largest gas companies.

The Results

RSG’s Tier 4 data centers are enterprise-class facilities with redundant and dual-powered instances of servers, storage, network links and power cooling equipment. Tier 4 data centers are the most advanced in the industry, where redundancy is applied across all computing and non-computing infrastructure.
